    Use 1 tsp per 8oz of water. Add to boiling water and simmer on low for 5-7 minutes. Turn off heat and cover for an additional 5 minutes. Strain. May be enjoyed as is or with honey. Spent tea may be brewed a second time, and a third time if desired. By third brew you will notice a lighter brew but a Chaga brew nonetheless. You will want to take in every drop these incredible ingredients have to offer.

    Option 2: Make an extra large batch (6-10 cups using the 1 tsp of chai to 1 cup of water ratio) in a slow cooker and set at "low" until color of tea appears dark and flavor is rich. Set to "warm." Strain a cup when ready to enjoy. Consume throughout the next couple of days and add more water as needed; until tea color runs near clear. This ensures you have extracted all the nourishing benefits of your tea. Once flavor loss is noticeable, add a teaspoon or two of Chaga Chai and repeat the aforementioned process. This is the method they use in the north by natives who harvest Chaga and drink on a daily basis. Some slow cookers simmer at "warm" so be sure to watch your first slow cooker batch.

    For the colder months, heating a pot of chai in a cast iron kettle on a wood stove is a lovely way to enjoy your brew. Not all wood stoves recommend this, so confirm with manufacturer. Please remember to never leave a kettle unattended on a stove, as it may boil dry and the cast iron coating can emit dangerous fumes. Use caution with this method if using around unattended children or pets.
